HOW TO BECOME SUCCESSFUL NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU

Most of you have very little insight into how the world works and have no power over what happens to you.

As a result, you’ve made poor moves and haven’t been able to claim much money.

To make more deliberate moves, you need to see what’s going on.

Today I’m going to show you how to position yourself in this world to be successful no matter what happens to you.

But I won't tell you everything, I’m going to take the Socratic Method and ask you questions to summon insight from yourself.

This is usually a more powerful way to understand.

Let’s start with the first question..

Are you capable of perfectly predicting what’s to come in the future?

You probably accurately realised that you can’t perfectly predict all situations.

You can obviously learn how the world works and listen to smart people to get advanced warnings.. But big, cataclysmic changes will surprise you out of nowhere.

Most of us know that one great constant in the universe is that change eventually happens.

The economy goes up and down, the housing market crashes, countries burn to the ground and wars happen that you cannot anticipate.

You have two options..

When terrible things happen, you can give up and say “too bad, there’s nothing I can do about it, I’m gonna have to deal with it.”

You can sit around and hope that whoever is elected next will save your country, you can hope some random number generator will pick the same numbers you did on a $1 million ticket.

Or … based on the fact that anything can and probably will happen … you can ask yourself..

“What can I do to prepare so no matter what crazy event happens, I will be okay?”

Let’s say you had to migrate to a new country without money or a phone, just the clothes on your back.

Or some freak computer electrocution killed every single client you’re currently working with today.

Tragic, I know..

But I want you to think about how you’d react.

What would you do, what would you need that would allow you to establish yourself and build success?

You probably thought of a few important skills like good communication, influence, stress management, emotional control, etc. And you're right.

When you build yourself up, success hunts you down.

Jeff Bezos, apart from being a super geek billionaire, is famous for his mental model which is worth stealing..

When Jeff was building Amazon, he asked himself “What do consumers care about that they’ll still care about in 10, 20, 100 years for e-commerce?”

He realised fast shipping can never hurt and it’s always going to be a huge valuedriver, so he focused his time and energy into that.

Now ask yourself–

What can I invest my time and energy into so that no matter what happens, I will be prepared?

God helps those who help themselves…right?

We know this to be true, yet most people sit around and wait for some other person to save them.

You’re not beautiful enough to be a damsel in distress..

You won’t be saved for no reason, you’re not gonna get lucky and no outside force will save you either.

At the end of the day, it’s up to you to build your skills, build your abilities, build your sources of income, build your network, build your social abilities, build your ability to manage and deal with stress and plan strategically.

You need all these qualities maxed out because a bunch of crazy things are going to happen and if you’re ready to deal with them, you’ll dodge bullets and pounce on opportunities.

Don’t just rely on cheap tools.

Focus on forging your skills to last forever, no matter where you are in the world.
